Intranet Site / GUI Design
This Intel Intranet site was designed by Charmaine recently for Intel University at the request of the CEO. The target audience for this site is Managers and Senior Leaders. The goal was to present comprehensive training that addressed strategic business needs to improve employee performance. The information design enabled the target audience to quicky find and understand the content that they needed to learn based upon their customer feedback scores. The constraints included that the site had to emulate the Intel Circuit brand style and be able to be integrated into a new content management system that was not yet implemented. The site had a rapid design/development window and included about 200 pages of content. Charmaine met the tight deadline by developing a rapid prototype that garnered immediate ratification. She then committed the design to code and created templates. She worked closely with the customer and content developers to populate the templates with final content on the fly and choose images which reinforced the message. The site was launched on schedule and received rave reviews from the Intel University customer and top Intel management and is currently being used.

Brochure Design
This winery brochure concept is designed to evoke the feelings of the old world and generations of fine winemaking. The goal is to attract wine enthusiasts to visit the winery and their wine tasting room. The brochure would be handed out to customers and mailed out to potential buyers. The rich use of regal colors and stately images will appeal to the wine connoisseur. The elegant typeface imparts a classic sensibility that implies quality and affluence. The use of ghosted images also add depth to the piece and convey the rustic, earthy bouquet of finely aged wine.

Graphic Design - Wedding Invitations
In addition to Web design, Charmaine also has extensive experience and formal training in graphic design. This is an example of her recent work where she designed wedding invitations for a couple that had scheduled their wedding in Hawaii. The couple requested a tropical approach to their invitations. To meet that desire a red hibiscus was chosen as the main visual which was then manipulated in Photoshop and printed on 80 # white cover stock. The invitation was backed by handmade mulberry paper with hand torn feathered edges and bamboo leaves embedded in its fibers. The text was printed with green ink on translucent vellum which was tied to the artwork and backing with a sheer green ribbon. The RSVP card included the floral motif and the return envelopes used thermography for raised lettering. A rustic-looking woven simonay envelope was used to enclose the invitation and RSVP and wrapped in an irredescent sheer green ribbon. The invitation was mailed out in a custom fold over, ivory envelope with a gold metallic sheen and was sealed with a clear circular label printed with the hibiscus motif. The invitations received rave reviews from the wedding guests and the customers who are reportedly living happily ever after.
